We head into the new year with an energizing and joyful color, Living Coral—Pantone’s 2019 Color of the Year.

On Wednesday, at the Art Basel Miami Beach, Pantone announced their selection of Living Coral as their color of the year; hoping to bring comfort, nourishment, and a ‘feel good’ mood for the new year.

“With everything that’s going on today, we’re looking for those humanizing qualities because we’re seeing online life dehumanizing a lot of things,” Laurie Pressman, the Pantone Color Institute’s vice president. It is more than just predicting design trends in art and fashion. It is becoming more about what is needed in this world today. Pressman describes the color choice as “a big hug.”

Many Ways to Use, Here are a Few.

Here are 5 color palettes using Living Coral to help you bring life into your future designs and projects.
