Live streaming has grown in popularity over the past year and is now being utilized by more brands and individuals than ever. Live stream functionality is being harnessed by more and more apps and platforms with Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and even Twitter jumping on the bandwagon. Live stream video is an excellent way to connect authentically with your audience. Share what’s happening behind the scenes, answer customer’s questions, and connect on a personal level with your audience. An added bonus, social networks will boost your post to help promote live stream while it’s new and trust me, it isn’t going away anytime soon.

2 – Video in the Buyer’s Journey

Video marketing has become so much more than a 30 second ad promoting the next big sale. Video significantly increases conversion rates and establishes an important relationship with your audience. Capitalize on this powerful marketing tool by strategically placing video along the buyer’s journey on your website. Guide consumers throughout their journey to help them understand what you do and how you can help them. Ideally, videos should be focused on the consumer rather than the brand. Videos can answer frequently asked questions, showcase testimonials, or demonstrate a product or service.

3 – Personalized Video Messages

The trend of sending personalized video clips to customers is on the rise and leaving a lasting impression on viewers. Replace that long, tired email response with a quick, personalized video reply. Easily filmed with cell phones or tablets, these short video clips are hosted on private links through YouTube. These messages quickly and effectively share your message while establishing trust and building relationships. I recently received a personalized video reply and couldn’t believe the impact it created. Not only was I impressed, but it was top of mind to call them back. One last tip, add the word “video” to the subject line to dramatically increase email open rates and click through rates on your personalized video message.
